cataclysm is a better bet, as its just updating an existing client and therefore is much more likely to be stable immediately following launch, where as the first few weeks of a new MMO are pretty much horrible lag/bug/glitch/hack fests.

I don't think this is a fair comparison considering Guild Wars 2 is a whole new game and Cataclysm is just an expansion pack.
Guild Wars, definitely.
