Should I finish Guild Wars 1 to fully enjoy the upcoming Guild Wars 2?

In terms of story, that is. Wouldn't I feel lost if I play Guild Wars 2 immediately?(when it's already released of course)Should I finish Guild Wars 1 to fully enjoy the upcoming Guild Wars 2?
Guild Wars 2 will definitely have its own story, and you will be able to understand and enjoy it very well even if you've never played Guild Wars 1. The only thing you may miss, is some of the references they put in to content in Guild Wars 1. So if knowing the lore and history is important to you, then yes, I recommend finishing at least the main storylines of Prophecies and Eye of the North. The Factions and Nightfall stories are not that important, as we will not (yet) be able to visit those areas in the initial release of GW2. Those areas MAY be added in future expansions...

On a sidenote, playing through the original campaigns can have an additional benefit, as it grants you points in the Hall of Monuments (if you own Eye of the North), which will unlock some item rewards in GW2... see the link below for detailsShould I finish Guild Wars 1 to fully enjoy the upcoming Guild Wars 2?
GW2 takes place a couple hundred years after the end of GW1. It's a completely different story, you won't need any prior knowledge. Everything relevant will be explained in the game. You can get some background on the lore by visiting the Guild Wars wiki. There are articles about everything in the game and how it will tie in to GW2.Should I finish Guild Wars 1 to fully enjoy the upcoming Guild Wars 2?
I believe some of the Guild Wars Beyond quest content (War in Kryta, Hearts of the North and Winds of Change) have been released as a way to help set the stage for what happens later in GW2. So if you are interested generally in the storyline and lore, it could be worth a look. A few of the quests get a tad repetive though. Parts 2 and 3 of the Winds of Change content should be released later this year. You need to have EOTN as well as Prophecies to access War in Kryta quests and to have finished at least one of those games. You also need to complete Factions for the Winds of Change content.
