Should I get Guild Wars or wait until Guild Wars 2 comes out?

I'm thinking about buying Guild Wars. However I don't know if it's worth it if Guild Wars 2 is going to be coming out next year, which I know I'm going to buy when it comes out.Should I get Guild Wars or wait until Guild Wars 2 comes out?
You could wait for Guild Wars 2 to come out and start fresh with the game

You could buy the game and play it and develop a good understanding of the story line of the series. Also, there is this thing in the expansion "Eye of The North" called The Hall of Monuments. It's basically an achievement recording system, and all the achievements you make in Guild Wars 1 that you have saved in The Hall of Monuments will grant you special items such as exclusive pets, weapons, etc. for Guild Wars 2 if you link your account to your previous one. It also reserves the names of your Guild Wars 1 characters so you can use them if you like for Guild Wars 2!



Personally, I would suggest you give Guild Wars 1 a spin...I find it to be a great MMORPG with stunning graphics and good gameplay :D

well getting guild wars you wouldn't really time for it if you have a lot of time on your hands then yes buy guild wars, but if you don't have time to play for an hour or two a day!(ok maybe that's exaggerating it) then you should just buy guild wars 2.
