My friends and I are looking to play Guild Wars 2 when it comes out, and they want to play Sylvari and I would like to play as a Charr. Are the races restricted to certain factions, or are we allowed to choose? I'd like for us to be able to play together.
Bonus question: Any class restrictions for races? Can Charr become thieves?Will certain races belong to certain factions in Guild Wars 2?
Any Race can choose any faction and all professions are available for all races as well. This has been said along many interviews and is part of their no-grief social gameplay philosophy.Will certain races belong to certain factions in Guild Wars 2?
There are no factions in the game, all of the playable races will be able to interact with each other.
BQ:Every race will be able to play every class, so yes, you can be a Charr thief :)
